VANCOUVER BIA PARTNERSHIP

The Vancouver BIA Partnership is a coalition of all 22 business improvement areas in the City of Vancouver.

A business improvement area (BIA) is a specially funded business district, operated by a non-profit group of property owners and businesses, whose goal is to promote and improve their district. 

Collectively, Vancouver BIAs represent more than 25,000 businesses and commercial property owners, and account for $53 billion in assessed property value in the City of Vancouver.  

In totality, we implement $17 million in operating revenues toward marketing, events, street enhancements, and advocacy, which benefit businesses and communities at-large.  

Our initiatives and partnerships are integral to a healthy, vibrant and thriving city.

The first BIAs in Vancouver formed in 1989 – Gastown and Mt. Pleasant.
